David W. McMahon joined Atlas Insurance as a commercial lines executive in 2003. He is a graduate of Valparaiso University, earning a Bachelor of Science in business administration in 1988 and his MBA in 1995.

David is an Accredited Adviser in Insurance (AAI), having obtained that designation in January 2012. He is an active member of The West Florida Chapter of Community Association Institute (CAI), Building Manager International (BMI), and Manager of the Gulf Coast Inc (MOGCI), among others. David was instrumental in establishing Atlas’ collegiate internship program and continues to be involved in mentoring young industry professionals.

David is a regular speaker and instructor for Atlas-hosted educational webinars and Atlas-sponsored Lunch & Learn events, delivering sessions for property managers and board members on topics such as property insurance, hurricane preparedness, claims procedures, and coverage responsibilities. He is also a frequent presenter at industry educational events hosted by the West Florida Chapter of Community Associations Institute (CAI), Building Managers International (BMI), and Managers of the Gulf Coast, Inc. (MOGCI). David has extensive experience developing and delivering professional training sessions, focusing on providing practical insurance education for community associations.

Outside of the office, David and his wife Kimberly are actively involved in the community as business partners to local schools, coaching and mentoring young adults while raising their four children.
